A role-based real estate marketplace covering property discovery, offers and the complete purchase process.
Project overview
Built a Django real estate marketplace with different functionality for guests, buyers and sellers. The project is split into Django apps for accounts, properties, sellers, offers and notifications, using Django ORM and PostgreSQL to manage listings, images, seller profiles, favorites and purchase offers.
Buyers can search, filter and sort properties by location, price, property type, size and listing date. They can view property details and images, save favorites and submit offers. Sellers can review, accept, reject or update offers, while permissions and business rules prevent invalid actions once an offer has been accepted or a property has been sold.
The purchase process is split into multiple steps for collecting contact details, validating the payment method and updating the related property and offer statuses. The project also includes email notifications and a responsive interface built with Django templates, Bootstrap, CSS and JavaScript, deployed on Azure.
